Keep It Safe

I wrote this poem after thinking about how often people treat their love like something embarrassing once it is not returned.

As if caring deeply for someone becomes foolish the moment things do not work out. As if tenderness loses its value simply because it did not end in forever.

But I do not think love works that way.

I think the ability to love deeply is one of the rarest and most beautiful things a person can carry. And if someone cannot hold that love gently, it does not suddenly become worthless.

This poem is a reminder that your love still belongs somewhere safe — even if that place is within yourself for now.

Because the love inside you was never too much.

And it was never meant to be thrown away just because the wrong hands failed to hold it.
